In 2018 we produced a six-episode television series with Bell FIBETV about eating in Guelph. They happily wanted to call it Taste Detours: Guelph.
We look at the many flavours of Guelph – the stories behind the chefs, the recipes, the people and the places. Also, our deep agricultural roots and the impact that existing surrounded by fresh food and within a progressive and ever-changing culture makes on our food purveyors. We emphasize the impact of local food sourcing and buying local. We consider what Guelph’s most delicious dishes might be today, and what new cultures have impacted our taste of place.
So, we look back to our agricultural and inventive past, we look forward to where our innovative tastes are going, and sample the varying influences in the here and now. Here are the fruits of our labour.
